Cannabis Infused Peanut Butter Mug Cake

Start to finish: 8 minutes (5 active)

Servings: 1

When you crave something sweet and need it straight away, a mug cake is right for you. In fewer than 10 minutes, you can make your cake and eat it too. Luckily for those who prefer to ingest their cannabis, they’re also a sweet treat that can easily be infused.

This recipe is absolutely perfect for those who are craving peanut buttery goodness, but don’t want to invest the time it takes to bake a whole cake or cookies. A single serving is also less wasteful in that case.

The beautiful thing about this recipe is that it is still sweet-tooth-satisfying when made without the cannabis infusion. If the process of making cannabutter or kief butter is too time consuming for you, just smoke a joint and make a Peanut Butter Mug Cake instead.

Do you prefer come chocolate with your peanut butter? Add a tablespoon of chocolate chips to the center of the batter-filled mug before putting it in the microwave. Nutella would also be a wonderful addition to this Cannabis Infused Peanut Butter Mug Cake. In that case, before you microwave it, stuff a tablespoon of nutella down into the center of the batter once it is already in the mug.

Ingredient List

¼ cup all-purpose flour (almond or coconut flour can be substituted)

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

¼ teaspoon baking powder

⅛ teaspoon salt

¼ cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 tablespoons peanut butter

2 tablespoons cannabutter or kief butter, melted

Special Equipment

1 extra large microwave-safe ceramic mug (at least 16 ounces)

1 microwave

Preparation Method

Combine all of the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt) together in a medium size mixing bowl. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined.

Mix the milk and vanilla extract together in a measuring cup or separate small mixing bowl.

Push the well-combined dry ingredients to the sides of the medium mixing bowl so that the center of the bowl is open. Pour the milk and vanilla into the open space in the center, and then add the peanut butter followed by the melted cannabutter or kief butter. Whisk all of the ingredients together slowly. Continue whisking until there are no clumps remaining in the mixture.

Once all of the ingredients are well combined, you have batter. Pour the batter into the ceramic mug. If you’re adding chocolate chips or nutella into the center of the mug, do it at this time.

Microwave the cannabis infused peanut butter mug cake batter on high for two minutes.

Before you dive in head first, allow your Cannabis Infused Peanut Butter Mug Cake to rest and cool for one minute after it is finished cooking. ENJOY!

Recipe Notes

Remember that microwave oven cooking times may vary. Be careful not to overcook this mug cake or it will taste too scorched to be enjoyable. You can always microwave it for a little more time if needed, so if you know your microwave tends to work fast and strong, start with just one minute thirty seconds. Then put it back into the microwave for another 30 seconds if needed.

Place a paper towel or microwave safe plate underneath the mug in the microwave in case the batter spills over during cooking.

This recipe was specifically designed for the microwave. Do not attempt to bake it in a traditional oven.
